The 2025 NuggMD Patient Choice Awards have successfully captured the preferences of over 3,500 medical cannabis patients across the United States, highlighting the brands, products, and technologies that stand out in the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. This year's awards, organized by NuggMD, the leading telehealth platform for cannabis, recognized winners and runners-up in 36 geographic regions across five base categories: products, brands, dispensaries, technologies, and creators. The awards process was uniquely democratic, with entrants sourced directly from cannabis consumers and no fees required to enter or vote, ensuring an unbiased selection.
Notable winners included Trulieve, RISE, Rhythm, and Jeeter, which secured top spots in multiple regional categories. On a national level, GravLabs was awarded Best Glassware, and G Pen took home the title for Best Vaporizer Hardware. The Best Content Creator category celebrated the contributions of @dope.as.yola, @dope_kitchen, and @pothead.princess, who won Gold, Silver, and Bronze, respectively. In total, patients made their voices heard by selecting winners and two runners-up for more than 350 categories.
Robert Brock, VP of marketing at NuggMD, emphasized the importance of recognizing regional market dynamics in the cannabis industry. Despite the challenges posed by federal prohibition, the sector continues to thrive, driven by entrepreneurship and determination. The Patient Choice Awards serve as a platform to celebrate this resilience and the diverse contributions of businesses, from large multi-state operators to small regional dispensaries and emerging brands.
Voting for the awards took place from February 25 to March 31, with results now available on the Patient Choice Awards website. This initiative not only highlights consumer preferences but also underscores the growing acceptance and normalization of cannabis in medical and recreational markets across the country.
