Hydrogen Utopia International PLC (LSE:HUI, OTCQB:HUIPF) has made significant strides in its cannabis operation in Macedonia, as detailed by CEO Aleksandra Binkowska in a recent discussion. The company, holding a 49% option in Ohrid Organics, has completed two successful harvests, benefiting from the facility's high-tech enhancements and natural advantages. These include an advanced drying system that plays a crucial role in enhancing product quality.
Currently, the company is in the process of awaiting laboratory results to officially confirm the quality of its products. This step is essential for obtaining the necessary governmental approvals for sales. Additionally, Hydrogen Utopia is preparing for EU GMP certification audits. Achieving this certification would not only facilitate the company's entry into the European market but also allow it to command higher price points for its products.
Binkowska also shared insights into the financial outlook for Ohrid Organics, projecting that its earnings could fund Hydrogen Utopia's inaugural waste plastics hydrogen facility. This strategic move highlights the potential of the cannabis operation to support the company's broader environmental and energy goals without the need for additional capital raising. The supportive stance of the Macedonian government towards the company's initiatives in both the cannabis and hydrogen sectors was also acknowledged as a key factor in these developments.
