A comprehensive poll conducted by NuggMD, a leading telehealth platform for cannabis, has identified Lava Cake as the cannabis strain that best meets consumer preferences across several key categories. The survey, which gathered responses from over 6,500 randomized cannabis users, focused on understanding the main goals for cannabis use, desired flavor and aroma profiles, and the effects most sought after by consumers. With a margin of error of 1.2%, the poll offers a representative snapshot of U.S. cannabis consumer preferences.
According to the findings, the primary reasons for cannabis use among respondents were pain relief (25%), anxiety relief (23%), and stress relief (18%). When it came to flavor and aroma, fruit (27%), sweetness (19%), and earthiness (18%) were the top choices. The most desired effects were relaxation (30%) and euphoria (24%). Lava Cake stood out as the only strain that met all these preferences, making it uniquely positioned in the market.
Deb Tharp, head of legal and policy research at NuggMD, commented on the findings, noting the increased use of cannabis for managing stress and anxiety, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The poll also revealed that 48% of respondents prefer to consume cannabis "anytime," indicating a shift towards more flexible usage patterns among consumers.
