The world's first distributed psychedelic conference will debut November 3-9, 2025, as Global Psychedelic Week creates a hybrid program combining online sessions with in-person events across nearly 60 cities worldwide. This innovative approach to conference organization represents a significant shift in how the psychedelic community connects and shares knowledge, potentially setting a new standard for global movements in the emerging psychedelic industry.
The 2025 lineup features more than 100 world-renowned speakers from across the psychedelic research, therapy, and advocacy fields. Notable participants include Rick Doblin, founder of MAPS, bringing decades of pioneering advocacy work; Robin Carhart-Harris, a leader in psychedelic neuroscience sharing groundbreaking insights into brain science; and Dr. Pamela Kryskow, a physician and innovator in psychedelic therapy highlighting real-world clinical practice. The diverse roster also includes Indigenous knowledge keepers, grassroots organizers, policymakers, and next-generation researchers from across continents.
At the core of GPW's distributed model are the in-person events confirmed in countries including India, Serbia, Jamaica, Colombia, and Argentina. These gatherings range from intimate circles and workshops to large-scale panels and cultural programs, all designed to foster local connection and dialogue. Milica Radovic Mandic, Co-founder of Global Psychedelic Week, explained the philosophy behind this approach: "We're decentralizing the conversation and meeting people where they are, in their own communities. Rather than gathering in a single location, we're fostering the space for local connection, reflection, and dialogue."
The conference has secured 70+ community and media partners to amplify the dialogue, extending far beyond traditional conference models. This network ensures that conversations about psychedelics remain inclusive, accessible, and globally relevant. Dennis Walker, Co-founder of Global Psychedelic Week, emphasized the importance of diverse perspectives in the evolving psychedelic landscape: "People talk about 'set and setting' as a vital element of a psychedelic experience, but who is responsible for curating the 'set and setting' for how psychedelic mainstreaming is unfolding? This should be a global conversation with numerous and diverse stakeholders providing input."
Tickets are currently available with a 10% early bird discount at https://www.globalpsychedelicweek.com. Participants can choose to join the seven-day online program, attend in-person events in their communities, or register as community hosts to organize their own gatherings. This distributed model could significantly impact how industry conferences are structured moving forward, potentially making global knowledge sharing more accessible and inclusive while reducing the environmental footprint associated with traditional large-scale international gatherings.
