Woodstock Cannabis and Bright Eyes Launch Limited Edition Pre-Roll Collaboration for 21st Anniversary Tour

Woodstock, the official cannabis brand of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, and indie rock icons Bright Eyes have partnered on a limited edition pre-roll collaboration celebrating the band's 21st performances of I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn. Twenty-one years after Bright Eyes released the two albums simultaneously—one acoustic (Wide Awake), the other electronic (Digital Ash)—Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nathaniel Walcott will perform both albums in their entirety for the first time, back to back, at a series of special "birthday party" concerts in NYC, Denver, and LA.

To celebrate, Woodstock has teamed up with Bright Eyes to create a custom pre-roll pack that honors both albums. Each limited edition 4-pack features two .5g sativa pre-rolls for Wide Awake and two .5g indica pre-rolls for Digital Ash, allowing fans to experience the dichotomy of these beloved albums. "Woodstock has always been about music, counterculture, and bringing people together for shared experiences," said Richard Lee, CEO of Woodstock. "These Bright Eyes albums represent a generation and this collaboration offers fans a unique way to enhance their listening and live concert experiences."

The collaboration launches May 2026 at select dispensaries in California and New York, timed to Bright Eyes' 21st anniversary shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (May 23, with support from The Moldy Peaches) and Forest Hills Stadium in New York (June 6, with support from Built to Spill). Retail partners include Stash Dash and the Atrium in Los Angeles, and The Travel Agency Downtown Brooklyn and Curaleaf in Queens. In California, Stash Dash Atwater will be running a sweepstakes giving away two tickets to the Hollywood Bowl show and in New York, The Travel Agency will be running a sweepstakes giving away two tickets to the Forest Hills show. Curaleaf (located near Forest Hills Stadium) will be running a sweepstakes giving away a signed set of vinyl records of both albums.

The partnership highlights how cannabis brands are increasingly collaborating with iconic musicians to create immersive experiences that resonate with fans. As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, such collaborations may become a key strategy for brands seeking to differentiate themselves and connect with consumers on a cultural level.
