NuggMD, the leading international platform for medical cannabis evaluations, is offering free evaluations to all U.S. veterans in honor of Veterans Day. This initiative represents the company's continued commitment to providing no-cost access to medical cannabis for past military service members, building on their annual efforts to support this community.
The timing of this program coincides with significant expansion for the company, which recently entered the German market and expanded into two additional U.S. states, increasing the number of prospective medical cannabis patients it can serve by nearly 20%. These strategic moves position NuggMD to serve more veterans than ever before through their telehealth platform.
Robert Brock, vice president of marketing at NuggMD, explained the rationale behind the Veterans Day initiative. "U.S. military veterans are more likely than other Americans to suffer from PTSD and chronic pain. We can't fix the systems that are responsible for that, but we can do our part to help by making it free for U.S. veterans to get medical cannabis evaluations through our platform on Veterans Day." Brock further emphasized that "every veteran, and indeed every U.S. adult, deserves the freedom to legally use cannabis if they choose to."
The free evaluations will be available to all veterans residing in the 31 markets that NuggMD serves. Veterans can access the complete list of applicable states on NuggMD's website and schedule appointments using the company's on-demand platform, which operates from 8 AM to 10 PM in each local time zone. The company aims to facilitate hundreds of free evaluations on November 11 through partnerships with like-minded organizations committed to helping those who have served.
Since its launch in 2016, NuggMD's affiliated medical cannabis practitioners have helped over two million patients connect with qualified medical cannabis doctors. The company's growth trajectory and commitment to veteran access highlight the expanding role of telehealth in the medical cannabis industry and the increasing recognition of cannabis as a potential treatment option for conditions disproportionately affecting military veterans.
This initiative represents a significant step toward addressing healthcare disparities faced by veterans while demonstrating how cannabis companies can contribute to social responsibility efforts. By removing financial barriers to medical cannabis evaluations, NuggMD enables veterans to explore potential treatment options for conditions that often prove challenging to manage through conventional medical approaches.
